Within 3 months of the wedding. Aim to send them within 4 to 6 weeks of returning from your honeymoon. Personalize each note with a specific mention of the gift or their role in the day. Generic notes are better than no notes, but specific ones are remembered.
Your officiant files it with the county clerk after the ceremony. You will receive a certified copy, which is your legal proof of marriage. Store it with your important documents. Request multiple certified copies if you are changing your name, since each agency typically requires its own original.
If you want to keep it long-term, professional cleaning and preservation within 2 to 4 weeks is the right window. Stains set over time and become much harder to remove. If you plan to sell or donate the dress, cleaning is still worthwhile before listing.
Google, The Knot, and WeddingWire are the most impactful platforms. Two to three sentences describing what you hired them for and what made them stand out is plenty. Most vendors will genuinely appreciate it, and it helps other couples make the same decision you did.
